Ryan Williams, DO
Dr. Ryan Williams strives to provide excellent family medical care to people of all ages by creating a partnership between himself and his patients at Florence Family Medicine in Florence, South Carolina.
Dr. Williams began his career in the field of medicine as an emergency room secretary/technician while going to school full time to become a registered nurse. He worked as a registered nurse in the ER for five years. He did so while continuing his education and receiving his pre-med/undergraduate degree from Francis Marion University.
Dr. Williams received his medical degree from Des Moines University and completed his family medicine residency at McLeod Regional Medical Center. Before opening his practice, Dr. Williams worked full time for six years as a staff physician at both McLeod Urgent Care Centers and Elgin Urgent Care Center.
By using a holistic and analytical approach, Dr. Williams considers the entire person and only prescribes medications as needed. As an excellent diagnostician, he uses appropriate tests to ensure patients get the proper prescription.
Whether you need a physical, a joint injection, or anything in between, Dr. Williams offers the thorough examination and attention you need.
Karen McClendon, RN
Karen has seven years of experience as a Registered Nurse with a background in the Cardiac Step Down Unit as well as the Postoperative Care Unit. From day one, she has been incredibly adaptable and willing to do whatever is needed to help our business succeed. She works hard, never complains and does it all with a smile. We couldn't be more appreciative!
Brooke Poston, RN
Brooke has over five years of experience as a Registered Nurse with a background in the Stroke Unit, Postpartum/Newborn Nursery and most recently the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She always has a good attitude, is a fast learner and has been a wonderful fit with our work family. We are lucky to have her!
Suzanne Jacobs, LPN
Suzanne graduated from Florence Christian School before completing her training as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Florence Darlington Technical College. She has over one year of experience as an LPN in the office setting in which she proved her adaptability and flexibility floating from different offices wherever the need was for the day. She is kind-hearted and has a warm spirit. She is a great asset to Florence Family Medicine and we are pleased to have her join the team.
Stephanie Harrington- BILLING/OFFICE MANAGER
Stephanie has active roles as our Billing and Office Manager. She has numerous years of experience working in both roles during her career. Since joining us, she has showed time and time again her commitment to our practice and its success. She is well respected by our staff for her leadership and willingness pitch in. She is friendly, accessible and has excellent communication skills; our staff and our patients benefit greatly from her being part of our team!
Julie Williams- RECEPTIONIST
Julie is the first line of our practice. As our receptionist, she always greets people with a positive attitude and willingness to help whether that be on the phone or in person. She has years of experience in various roles from customer service to administration of injections at a weight loss clinic. She is always eager to learn, well organized and an excellent multitasker. We are so pleased she joined us, she has been a wonderful addition to our practice!
